About this deal

Landing forefoot is difficult due to the majority of the shoe's weight being centered at the rearfoot. He is also the chief tester for fitness trackers and running watches, treadmills and exercise bikes, and workout headphones. You’ve got Repetitor foam (the white section of the sole) at the front, and the firmer Repetitor+ foam (the dark blue area) under the heel working in tandem to mitigate impact force and provide a platform to kick yourself off from as you take one step after another. There are other elements of the Adistar that focus on stability too, like the slanted heel that counters overpronation, the “bucket seat” design that means your foot sits in the cushioning at the back rather than on the top, and reinforced sections on the upper to help limit lateral movement. Some kinks need to be worked out at the back, but overall this is a solid revival of the Adistar line.

In this case, you are also responsible for the risk of loss or damage, therefore we recommed a postal insurance to cover the value. In general the shoe has a firmer ride than many max-cushioned options, though the way the rocker provides a smooth transition from heel to toe meant the Adistar never felt harsh underfoot for me, even when running farther than 20km. The look is completed by the brands signature three-stripe detailing to the upper and Adidas logo to the tongue. The FFMv3 is so soft and unresponsive it is really best used for only your easiest runs, where your legs and feet need a break. Where possible ask for a service that is "tracked" and ensure your parcel is adequately covered for compensation in the unlikely event of your parcel going missing. On the outsole, there’s a lot of grippy Continental rubber on the medial and lateral sides with a deep, decoupled groove right in the middle which helps centre the weight and smoothens transitions. The Adistar is a max-cushioned shoe designed to provide a comfortable and stable ride for easy runs, and it does that job well. The REPETITOR foam has a nice bounce to it and provides a comfortable cushioned ride from the midfoot through the forefoot. It is for the above reasons and more that the Adistar CS will work best for those with a short stride.

With a lace up closure to secure your fit, this pair is finished with the three adidas stripes to the sides. The legacy blue paired with the darker periwinkle and fluorescent stripes look good on every shoe Adidas has employed it on this season. With all these new features, the Adidas Adistar is a completely new shoe that carries some small hints of its past. However, we believe that only very experienced runners sensitive to the drop could actually notice this nuance. This harder form is combined with extremely high sidewalls that provide noticeable support on both the medial and lateral sides of the foot. As much as I enjoy the Adistar, it’s hard to ignore the Max Road 5, and unless you hate a fun bouncy ride, that’s likely the shoe to try out. Jeff only got into running in his 30s, as a result his career PR's are 4:07 for the marathon and 5K at 23:39 .
