i gave it to a friend who loved it although to me, it smelled more or less the same on her (the 80s, not accrid and bitter). Thanks to the flowers of Lotus Petals, Ylang Ylang, Osmanthus and Jasmin it is quite intense, but also it is warm and powdery smell because of the notes of suede and amber. From the top notes to the dry down Maitresse is your typical sexy secretary perfume, but not in an exciting way. The main note, violet, which is usually a very high-pitched note to my nose, receives a sort of breezy support from the lotus note. It's a bit like a more civilised version of Pure Poison, which makes it perhaps slightly too well-behaved to carry the AP brand.Maitresse, to me smells like scented compact powder after it’s been applied on the face + the drydown of Chanel No. I can smell the apricot-like osmanthus, clean jasmine and creamy ylang-ylang behind the most dominant note - violets. Like looking at two loving, caring people making love through a white, semi-transparent curtain floating in a gentle breeze. Someone mentioned vintage Tom Ford Violet Blonde: spot on, although the creaminess and powderiness also give it sort of a vibe reminiscent of a classic like Hermes 24 Faubourg.

This is you falling head over heels and wanting to leave your partner for her, even though you know she'll never feel the same way. I arrived a little early; maybe I did not look very professional, but my look was very modern and I felt quite comfortable with it. It is one you must test to make sure you like it and it changes a lot from when you first spray it to the dry down.

Top notes are infused with white lotus petals, white ylang-ylang and violet leaves which leads to the floral heart of osmanthus, jasmine and rose. I look st my bottle and it seems in the same family as AP petale noir, which isn't noir to me, it's like this but doesn't last, and a Prada infusion de orangeir which I recently tried.It would be very interesting to see if others smell it on me, and I suspect that they would, and for that reason I do believe that this perfume is worth acquiring, even though my own appreciation of it on myself is so shortlived. Not a sexy fragrance like the bottle suggests, but a very likable and pretty one that males respond to very positively (along with the bottle its self). I don’t know if there’s something wrong with my nose or I'm just simply not destined to love at least one of the two AP’s perfume I’ve tested. I don't find it directly sexy but a fantastic comforting, spicy fragrance with just a pinch of sweetness.
