About this deal

If you thought this recipe was simple, you won’t believe how easy it is make these other sauces. So skip the store-bought jars and opt to make fresh, homemade versions. The found family aspect of this book was so freaking heartwarming. I loved everything about the cabin, the activities and traditions, the families that came together religiously every year to be together. Their love for one another was palpable. The characters were wonderful, all of them. They made me want to be adopted. The tender love and support, the loyalty, history and life long connections, the fun and laughter felt so wonderfully REAL!!! You’ll want to be a part of it! As crazy as it sounds, I think this is all happening because I asked the universe to show me what would make me happy and it’s just sending me here over and over again with no instruction booklet,” I shout upward. “Like, yes, I love it here. I get it. And now I shall live here forever. Eternal Christmas. Be careful what you wish for, am I right?” I laugh a little maniacally. I’ve been in a very “bah humbug” mood for the past week or so, and decided maybe a sweet Christmas read would snap me out of it. So I grabbed a copy of In A Holidaze.

A little Sunday pick me up! Have a great day! :) - Reddit

I’m incredibly grateful for the magnificent The Heartbeat of Wounded Knee by David Treuer. This book — a mélange of history, memoir, and reportage — is the reconceptualization of Native life that’s been urgently needed since the last great indigenous history, Dee Brown’s Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. It’s at once a counternarrative and a replacement for Brown’s book, and it rejects the standard tale of Native victimization, conquest, and defeat. Even though I teach Native American studies to college students, I found new insights and revelations in almost every chapter. Not only a great read, the book is a tremendous contribution to Native American — and American — intellectual and cultural history.” And the way the cabin was described, and how they all came together to celebrate and spent time together was magic. Wonderfully Christmasish! I wanted it all RIGHT THEN! The traditions, the connections, the love, and the tender moments, and especially the cabin! Combine the egg yolks, lemon juice, dijon, salt and cayenne pepper into a high powered blender and blend for 5 seconds. Every year, Mae and her family, along with close family friends, spend a week at a cabin in Salt Lake City, Utah. There’s sledding, scavenger hunts, building snow creatures, and Christmas cheer. This year, Mae makes a bad decision while under the influence of eggnog...she makes out with her friend, Theo, but she is really in love with his older brother, Andrew.

In A Holidaze by Christina Lauren | Waterstones

In a Holidaze is a low-angst, cozy, sweet read. There are lots of supporting characters (important friends and family), and instead of the plot feeling cluttered, it all made sense. I really liked the role that everyone played in the story, and I felt like I knew this family intimately. Is it Christmas or Groundhog Day? Listeners won’t be quite sure with In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren, read by Patti Murin. Nostalgic hero Maelyn Jones makes a holiday wish, only to enter a timeloop where she relives her past at a beloved cabin. Murin and Lauren are always a fun listening combo, and Murin delivers Lauren’s sly humor with elan. Maelyn has been in love with Andrew since she was thirteen but she has never told him how she feels. Everyone has assumed Maelyn and Theo who are both twenty-six will be an item someday. Regardless of what they want, this time she is going to go for it. What does she have to lose since she probably will end up redoing the day anyway? If she can right her wrongs, Mae could face a brighter and more promising future. She also has an opportunity to tell her long-time family friend, Andrew, how she really feels about him.

How To Store And Reheat Hollandaise Sauce

The romance in this story was slow and addictive. And I found myself falling in love right along with them. Well technically Mae already had loved Andrew forever, but you’ll see what I mean. Andrew had been friends with Mae practically his whole life. He always saw her as a friend, but with magic or was it fate intervening, I kept my fingers crossed he’d start to see her in another light. You guys, Andrew was most definitely book boyfriend material! He was sexy, patient, thoughtful, sweet and kind. And I loved how he always paid attention to Mae. His eyes sparkle, and sensation zips up my spine. I swear he’s never looked at me like this, like he’s seeing me for the first time.
